Getting it done in the small church

Pastoral Coordinator Helen found out that Bev and George had sold their home and would be leaving in three weeks. She talked it over with Bev M at the seminar they were both attending last Tuesday. Today almost all the parish membership met at Barke’s place for a terrific get-together that nobody knew anything about six days earlier.

The point is that there was no sub-committee meeting; nothing planned by Parish Council, no minutes of a decision to organise a social event. It just happened.

That’s how it is in the small church.
